5 Spring Color Trends to Try by Jane Iredale

We could name a thousand things we love about beauty, but one of our favorite things are the trends. In fashion, we often feel like the best trend is no trend at all, but in beauty, experimentation is part of the fun. Sometimes, trying new trends is less about purchasing the newest product formula and more about trying new color combinations. So, let’s talk about five of the coolest color trends for spring 2017.

Spring 2017 Beauty Color Trends

Color Trend #1: Brown

How to Wear It: On your lips! It may sound very 90s, but brown lips are back and it looks amazing on every single skin tone. From chocolate to pinky nudes, brown is every where you turn. Our trick to wearing this trend without going overboard is to choose a shade that is slightly darker than your natural lip color.

Color Trend #2: Peach

How to Wear It: Peach is one of our favorite colors for spring because you can wear it all over your face in both matte and shimmery textures. If you want to try this monochromatic look, we recommend creating a subtle gradient peach eye makeup look and then keep your cheeks and lips natural with just a hint of color.

How to Wear It:  We like to give our complexion and overall glowy effect by creating a smokey mauve eye makeup look. This is a playful way of describing our favorite spring trend, draping. What is draping? It’s a technique that uses blush instead of bronzer to contour.
