The Three Summer Activities to Keep You Healthy

3 Activities-01

There’s still time before autumn arrives and takes away this wonderful summer weather. If you’re thinking that you haven’t taken advantage of this summer and really enjoyed yourself, then this list is for you. We have three summer activities that are not only fun, but will keep that body of yours strong and healthy.

1. Swimming

Swimming is somewhat of a normal summer activity, but it’s benefit to your body is immense. If done on a regular basis, swimming can improve the health of your heart along with your endurance. What makes it shine above the rest of the activities is that on top of the other benefits, this full body exercise will even build your muscles.  Swimming is in a league of it’s own.

2. Hiking

Hiking is a relaxing activity that you can enjoy with a group of friends. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the overwhelmingly hot city life and get outdoors in the woods and get some cool fresh air. What’s more, hiking exercises almost every part of your body. It exercises your body and your mind, improves the health of your heart and lungs, and burns nearly 400 calories an hour.

3. Cycling

Cycling is usually done for leisure and many times we forget that we are working out. However 30 minutes of cycling daily has shown to give benefits to cardiovascular health. It can lower blood pressure, reduce bad cholesterol and increase insulin sensitivity. The best part is it doesn’t feel like exercise at all, cycling is easily one of the most fun and relaxing activities you can do this summer, and it can be enjoyed with the whole family!
